Decades of experience in finance, physical production, and producing combine to yield a perspective and flexibility of approach that few other teams are able to offer.

Steven Demmler President

Steven Demmler is a writer/producer, Founder of Talon Entertainment, and one of Variety’s “New Leaders in Hollywood” for 2024. He has Produced or Executive Produced projects such as Paul Schrader’s OH, CANADA, which was in competition at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, and the Ant-Timpson directed and Elijah Wood-starring BOOKWORM, which most recently opened and won the Audience Award at Montreal’s Fantasia International Film Festival.

Under Demmler’s leadership, Talon acquired South Side Studios, an 11-acre film studio and sound stage facility in Dallas, TX, which will re-open its refurbished gates in January 2025. Demmler also is a founding partner of MUTANT, a pop culture-centric art and collectible venture, alongside Mondo founder Tim League and Elijah Wood and Daniel Noah.

Additionally, Demmler is a strategic advisor and member of the board of directors for Elijah and Noah’s SpectreVision, a genre driven production company with a focus on psychological thriller and horror films.

Demmler has an MFA in dramatic writing from NYU Tisch and an MSc in Global Finance from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His writing is represented by 3 Arts Entertainment and his producing is repped by WME.

Raymond Brandte Chief of Financial Officer

Raymond serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Talon. He is a Certified Public Accountant with over a decade of experience in the accounting field. He specializes in financial analysis, forecasting, inventory management, cash flow management, receivables and payables.

Prior to joining Talon Raymond spent his first few years in the accounting field as a Senior Audit Associate for Grant Thornton, LLP. From there he worked for Sinkholemag.com as their Cofounder and Business Manager before starting his own firm Arcadius Group LLC. There he assisted small business owners in growing and managing their companies. Most recently he was the Controller for Driver’s Alert LLC where he was directly responsible for all accounting related functions and financial reporting requirements as well as Head of HR.

Raymond is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and attended the University of Florida for both his Undergraduate and Masters degrees in Accounting. Go Gators!

Tony Armer Head of Physical Production

Tony Armer is the Head of Physical Production for Talon Entertainment Finance. Tony has over two decades of experience in the film industry.

As Dallas Film Commissioner from January 2023 to August 2024, Tony advanced new studio development, innovative business, workforce programs and comprehensive marketing strategies to attract productions to Dallas.

From 2014 to 2023, Tony was the Film Commissioner for St. Petersburg Clearwater, Florida. Under his leadership, the region saw record-breaking revenues and success.

In 2005 he co-founded the acclaimed Sunscreen Film Festival in St. Petersburg, FL. That event celebrates its 20th year in 2025. Tony co-founded Film USA, the National Association of United States Film Commissions.

Tony is an award-winning filmmaker. He has written, developed, and produced documentaries, feature films, shorts and digital content. His films are distributed by Lionsgate, Amazon Prime, and others. He is set to direct the feature film “Terminal Kill,” based on his award-finalist screenplay and graphic novel. He has taught film at the Art Institute of Tampa and the University of Tampa. Tony holds an MFA in Motion Pictures and Television from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

Ava Skolnik Production Coordinator

Ava Skolnik is the production coordinator for Talon Entertainment Finance. She will be graduating in May of 2025 with a degree in Marketing from the University of South Florida. Go bulls!

She began her professional journey as a marketing intern at Talon in the summer of 2023, where she worked on digital marketing strategies and getting experience on the set of a short film. Most recently, Ava served as the Production Coordinator for the upcoming TV pilot THE FEATHER DETECTIVE, where she supported the production and creative team in bringing the project to life. 

In addition to her hands-on experience, Ava is an active member of multiple organizations at the University of South Florida including Phi Chi Theta and Women in Leadership and Philanthropy. Passionate about both marketing and film, Ava looks forward to applying her skills in creative and strategic roles on the production team for Talon.



Christie Demmler Executive Assistant

Christie’s multifaceted career demonstrates an exceptional ability to adapt and excel across industries. Before joining the company, Christie dedicated many years to healthcare as a registered nurse, where she honed her organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive under pressure. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Christie led Palm Beach Atlantic University’s response team, showcasing her ability to navigate complex and sensitive challenges, coordinate with diverse stakeholders, and implement strategic solutions during a critical time.

Her ability to manage high-pressure situations and align teams with strategic goals directly supports Talon’s mission and has deftly guided the team through projects like Paul Schrader’s OH CANADA, Elijah Wood’s BOOKWORM, and, most recently, a pilot made in partnership with the Alfred P Sloan Foundation and Film Independent, THE FEATHER DETECTIVES.

When she’s not keeping the team running smoothly, Christie enjoys reading, attending concerts, and spending quality time with her family.
